Juggling Steve Reich's "Clapping Music"
For those of you who don't know, "Clapping Music" is a work composed by Steve Reich in the Minimalist style. A simple syncopated rhythm is repeated by two groups of players clapping. One periodically shifts the repeat by "dropping" an eighth-note. The metric phasing that results cycles through surprising "rhythmic harmonies" until in comes full circle back to unison.
